State Treasurer Remarks

Brother Knights,

I want to remind you of two things:  First, make sure your Council has paid its Per Capita billing for 2006 (2007 bills will be mailed in January).  Secondly, make sure that your M/R checks are made out properly.  This account is with Smith Barney, and they WILL NOT accept checks that are not made out EXACTLY as the account reads.  Checks must be made payable to Alabama K of C M. R. Fund.  Any variation will not be accepted by the bank!  I have received a few checks that have been made out incorrectly, and unfortunately, I’ve had to return them to the Councils.  This creates a delay in the Council getting their checks back for distribution.  I will get the checks back to the Councils for distribution as promptly as I can.  All M/R funds are to be sent to me on or before December 9, 2006.  If you have any questions, please call my cell at (251) 422-9400, and I will be happy to assist you in any way I can.
